Racing trip to Vire 2014 – MDCC Team Announced
The Mid Devon team has been announced for the annual trip to Vire for the Jumelage 2 day. Club riders have been making the journey to the event for over thirty years and during that time have won the event several occasions. The racing is always fast and forces a selection,and most of all acts as a great learning opportunity for the riders. It has acted as a springboard for the successful careers of Jeremy Hunt and Yanto Barker and is the highlight of the clubs racing year.
Matt Langworthy, James Davey, Andy Hitchens, Ricky Parsons,Tom Baylis and Craig Hickson will be making the trip and will be looked after by the families of our twin club the Velo Club Bocage.
Team Managers will be Simon Aske and Andy Parker. Simon went on to say “This year we are taking a strong team of riders and we will be making our presence felt at the event. It is also the first time that we will have the opportunity to wear the new club colours”
The event format is a 60 mile road race on Saturday followed by two road races of 40 and 50 miles on Sunday.
