Pave Velo Cross Report
Sunday the 25th saw the South West cyclo-cross action move to Cornwall to begin two consecutive weeks of Cornish cross action. The event at Poltair School/St Austell Brewery was well attended with many MDCC riders making the journey to contest what was also the South West Cyclo Cross Championship.
Despite indications during the week that poor weather was on the way this didn’t materialise. Sun dried out most of the course leaving just one tricky muddy bank section. There was also the infamous brewery steps to contend with, plus the thought of riding passed many untasted pints of finest ale as the course wound through the brewery buildings!
Results are still to be released but Felix Fawn managed to get on the podium in the under 12’s and there was some close racing featuring Ollie Allen in the Youth race. More to follow once the results are released.
