SWCX ROUND 5

Mid Devon Cycling Club is playing host to the fifth round of the South West Cyclocross League at Torbay Velopark, following a week of inclement weather. This event marks the largest participation of the season thus far. Many seasoned riders are utilizing this opportunity to prepare for the forthcoming national trophy, which will also be held at the same venue and organized by the club. An estimated 2000 people are expected to attend the Velopark for this event. Young cyclist Fredrik Simcock, competing in the Under 10 category, once again emerged victorious, securing his leading position in the league standings. Meanwhile, Matt Holmes delivered his best performance of the year, triumphing in the Under 14 boys’ race. Lauren Fox continued her winning streak, remaining unbeaten in the SWCX League this season.
