TT Update 25/6/14
Open TT Update – success for club riders.
The past week has seen many MDCC club riders in action. Last Wednesday Andrew Perkins took a fine win in the Tavistock Wheelers 10, recording a super quick 20.30, to win the event from Martin Lewis in 20.52 and Conrad in 21.08. Matt Langworthy recorded an excellent 21.17 to take the Junior award, and Mark Sanders a great 21.47 for a high finish. Ian Cullen also dipped below 22.00.
On Sunday Conrad took part in the Bynea CC 25 – a national series event featuring the countries top time triallists in S Wales. After a prolonged poor bout of form due to a virus and intense training the legs are slowly returning, and conrad recorded 51.02 to finish just outside the top 10 in a field of 120 riders to set a new club 25 record, eclipsing the mark set by Andrew Perkins on the same course previously. Mark set a lifetime best and also a new (tbc) vets over 50 age record.
Last night was the re run of the previously cancelled District 10 champs at Exeter. Due to very short notice, the event only attracted a very small field, and MDCC participation was low and we were unable to field a team to qualify for the team award, however Andrew Perkins scored a convincing win in 21.30 to become the SWDC Regional 10 Champ.
